What is Motor Neurone Disease?

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that affects the nerves that control movement.

It can cause muscle weakness, stiffness, and difficulty with speech and swallowing. There is no cure for MND, but care can be personalised to address the physical, emotional, and social aspects of the condition. Our Care Professionals are experienced in managing the unique challenges associated with MND, including mobility support, communication aids, and symptom management. We also know that specialised activities and therapies can be effective in improving quality of life and we work with you to include these in your care plan.
