Living well at home is not only about personal care. Sometimes, the hardest part is keeping on top of appointments, paperwork, shopping, technology, household tasks and staying connected with other people.
Vitale Care's Personal Assistant Service provides trusted, face-to-face support with the practical parts of everyday life. It is designed for older adults, people living with long-term conditions and anyone who would benefit from a friendly, reliable person helping them stay organised.
The service can be arranged on its own or alongside personal care and other care-at-home support.
Practical help from someone you can trust
Asking for help does not have to mean giving up control. Often, a little support with the jobs that have become tiring, confusing or overwhelming can make it easier to remain independent at home.
Your Personal Assistant will work alongside you, not take over. They will listen, understand what matters to you and provide calm, practical support at a pace that feels comfortable.
Choosing a Personal Assistant through Vitale Care also gives you and your family the reassurance of a managed service. Our office team oversees the support, provides clear procedures and offers appropriate cover and escalation routes. You do not have to manage recruitment, training, holidays, sickness or safeguarding concerns alone.
For some people, Personal Assistant support may be all that is needed. For others, it can work alongside companionship, personal care, live-in care, overnight care or specialist support. If your needs change, we can review the plan with you and help make sure the right support is in place.
We also use GP Connect, where appropriate, to help authorised team members securely access relevant GP information for safer, better-informed care.
No, all invoicing and payments are managed through our head office. You’ll receive an invoice every two weeks, and instructions on how to pay are included with it.
We will always do our best to arrange support promptly, often within 24 hours. The first step is a conversation about the person’s needs, followed by a care assessment so we can create the right care plan and find a suitable Care Professional.
We take time to understand the person, not just the support they need. We consider their personality, interests, routines and preferences, as well as the experience required. Wherever possible, we will arrange an introduction before care begins and provide familiar, consistent Care Professionals.
Yes. Care needs can change gradually or quite suddenly, so we review each care plan and adapt the support when needed. This might mean changing the length or frequency of visits or considering overnight or live-in care.
Yes. We welcome input from family members and the people who know someone best, provided the person receiving care is happy for them to be involved. Their knowledge of routines, preferences and the little things that bring comfort can help us provide truly personalised support.
Yes. With the appropriate consent, we can work alongside GPs, district nurses, therapists, hospice teams and other professionals involved in someone’s care. This joined-up approach helps day-to-day support at home complement any clinical care or rehabilitation already in place.
We aim to provide a small, consistent team of familiar Care Professionals wherever possible. Continuity helps build trust and allows our team to understand the person’s routines, preferences and changing needs.
Vitale Care is a local, independent home care provider with a genuine commitment to the people and communities we support.
We believe outstanding care begins with a valued and well-supported team. That is why we pay our Care Professionals an above-average wage and invest in ongoing training, development and team building. We have created a sustainable way of doing this while keeping our care fees competitive, so the cost of valuing our team is not passed on to our clients through higher-than-average charges.
We take time to understand each person, carefully match them with Care Professionals and provide flexible support that can adapt as their needs change.
As a fully regulated home care provider, we are monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We have also consistently achieved a five-star rating on homecare.co.uk, based on independent reviews from clients and their families.
Most of our clients currently pay privately for their home care. However, we can also provide care for people whose support is funded by their local authority, as Vitale is part of the West Sussex County Council Care Framework.
Personalised, compassionate care that helps you or your loved one live independently and comfortably at home.
At Vitale Care, we believe the best care comes from Care Professionals who feel genuinely valued and supported. That’s why we invest in our team, build strong relationships and create a positive working environment so they can provide the kind, consistent and compassionate care every person deserves.
