Friendly faces and practical help at The Witterings Medical Centre

Sometimes, a little help can make everyday life feel much more manageable. Someone to explain a confusing form, point you towards local support or simply listen when you’re unsure where to start.

Through our community partnership with Witterings Medical Centre, we’re bringing that support closer to older people and their families in the Witterings.

Our free weekly Help Hub runs every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm inside the Medical Centre, offering practical guidance and a friendly conversation with the Vitale team.

Helping you work out the next step

It isn’t always easy to know who to ask for help. You might have received paperwork you don’t understand, be finding things a little harder at home or be supporting a parent whose needs are changing.

Our Help Hub gives you somewhere local to talk things through. You don’t need to have everything worked out before you speak to us. Sometimes, the first step is simply explaining what’s on your mind.

We’ll listen, help where we can and point you towards the right organisation when you need more specialist advice.

Practical help with paperwork

Forms and applications can feel overwhelming, particularly when you’re unfamiliar with the process or unsure what information is needed. Our team can help you understand paperwork relating to things such as Blue Badge applications, benefits and Lasting Power of Attorney. We can talk through the next steps and help you find appropriate guidance.

If you need more ongoing, one-to-one help, our Personal Assistant Service can provide practical support with paperwork, appointments, technology and everyday organisation. This is a separate, paid service, which we’re happy to explain at the hub.
For questions that need specialist legal or benefits advice, we’ll help you identify where to turn.

Feeling more confident at home

Small worries around the home can build up. Perhaps you’re concerned about trips and falls, keeping your home warm or managing everyday tasks.

At the hub, you can talk to us about practical ways to make life at home feel more manageable. We can help you explore available support and find services that may be useful to you. It’s about helping you stay independent, with support that makes sense for your circumstances.

A listening ear for families and carers

When you’re looking after someone you love, it can be difficult to make time for your own questions and concerns.

Our Help Hub is here for family carers too, whether you’re wondering what help is available or simply need to talk things through, our team will take the time to listen. We can also signpost you to organisations such as Age UK and other local services, helping you find support for yourself as well as the person you care for.

Local support, in a familiar place

We’re pleased to work with Witterings Medical Centre to offer this regular point of support within the community.

At Vitale, we believe looking after people includes helping them feel informed, connected and more confident about everyday life.

Visit our free Help Hub at Witterings Medical Centre on Tuesdays, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

If you’d like to ask a question before visiting, get in touch with the Vitale team. You can also explore our community support hubs.
